Palisades School District
    Admissions Tax

To provide revenue for the purpose of providing a high quality education to the students of the Palisades School District, the School board of Directors imposes an Admissions/Amusement Tax. This tax is allowable and defined in Act 511 of 1965.

Admissions/Amusement taxes are levied on the privilege of engaging in an amusement and are measured by the admission prices to places of amusement, entertainment, or recreation. When both the School District and the Municipality levy the tax, it is subject to the sharing provision.
The Palisades School District imposes a ten (10%) percent tax on the admission fee or privilege to attend or engage in any amusement with the exception of ski facilities, bowling alleys, and golf courses which are taxed at a higher rate.
Quarterly returns are due on the 15th of the month following the end of the Quarter. For example, the First Quarter (January - March) is due April 15th.
